This video is a solemn, meditative sequel to "09" and features many of the same locations, filmed during a winter's night, with drastically different framing and color grading to reflect the feeling and message of the song. Filming techniques used background projection, vehicle mounts, gimbals, and extensive stylized color grading.
Life is Long
The centerpiece of this video is a fireside performance lit by cell phone torches, interwoven with documentary excerpts edited down 6 hours of home videos and archival footage. On the technical side, the video incorporates some astrophotography timelapse compositing, gait matching edits, and extensive restoration of low light and low quality footage.
